Memorial Garden Adjoining the church property is a lovely tract of land, with a simply lych gate entrance. This is St. Michael's Memorial Garden, a hallowed place for the burial of ashes following cremation. The names of loved ones interred there are inscribed on six stone markers. The Memorial Garden is available to any member of St. Michael's, and also to anyone outside the parish. It is tended by a Memorial Garden Committee, as well volunteers known as the Memorial Garden Angels. Their goal is to maintain the natural feel of this wooded glade, and cultivate it in ways which enhance its simplicity and serenity. In August, a Sunday service is held in the Memorial Garden, beneath its canopy of trees. The names of loved ones interred there are included in our prayers.
