Music at St. Michael's

The music at Saint Michael's is rooted in the Anglican tradition. Its purpose is to enrich our corporate worship by the performance of outstanding choral and organ music and to provide encouragement for the people's participation.

The Senior Choir, a 30-voice mixed choir of adults and older youth rehearses and sings weekly, except during the summer. Its repertoire is eclectic, including motets and anthems from William Byrd to John Rutter to spirituals, and is anchored by four professional soloists.

Sunday School children also sing for special services. In addition, St. Michael's parishioners come together to produce wonderful musicals from time to time, most recently Amahl and the Night Visitors. Interested in singing? Contact Paul Marion, Organist and Choir Director - (419) 531-1616.
